Minerva

Project Details

The Minerva House redevelopment, now known as The Delft, is a major office transformation project located on the Southbank of the River Thames. The project is a deep retrofit and extension of a 1980s office building situated between Southwark Cathedral and the Golden Hinde.

Project Scope: The existing 6-storey building is being partially demolished (retaining 75% of the structure) and extended upwards by three levels to create a 9-storey landmark.

Capacity: Once complete, it will provide approximately 143,100 sq ft of high-quality “Ready to Fit” office space, representing a 56% increase in floor area.

Sustainability: The project targets top-tier environmental certifications, including BREEAM Outstanding, NABERS 5*, and WELL Core Gold. Notably, it is the first private development to use the River Thames (via barge) to remove 65% of construction waste, reducing HGV traffic.

Rosper MEP was commissioned to assist with the RIBA Stage 4 design validation, design development and RIBA stage 5 modelling works.
